SENIOR MANAGING EDITOR

Responsibilities

• Develop publications strategy and manage the production of publications.
• Assign and direct the work of the Medical/Science Writer and outside vendors including freelance writers, designers, photographers and proofreaders.
• Manage the production of publications, including Momentum, the Annual Report and Women In Oncology.
• Create publication content and artwork that reflect the cancer center's commitment to ensuring access to all.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Mass Communications, Journalism, or Business required.
• Minimum of Six (6) years experience in managing publications, public relations, journalism/mass communications, publishing or writing, inclusive of four (4) years of outstanding writing and editing skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Five (5) years of experience developing publication strategies that include digital/online components.
• Five (5) years of experience in health care and/or public relations agency and/or journalism.
