About the role
This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a regulated financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regulatory strategy for the company’s digital assets globally
- Lead the global regulatory team, focusing on hiring and team development
- Act as senior regulatory liaison to business leaders for digital asset initiatives
- Oversee licensing strategy across applicable regulatory frameworks
- Lead regulatory examinations and manage supervisory engagements for acquired entities
- Provide regulatory advice on product development and commercial transactions
- Identify and manage regulatory change while aligning with business objectives
Qualifications
- JD from an established law school; active bar membership in good standing
- Substantial experience with digital asset regulation in a financial institution or law firm
- Experience leading licensing and supervisory matters in multiple regulatory regimes preferred
- Deep knowledge of BSA, FinCEN guidance, and travel rules as applied to digital assets
- Proven experience managing regulatory examinations with US and international regulators
- Dynamic leadership skills with experience managing global teams
- Strong analytical skills and excellent communication capabilities
