Senior Manager, US Communications (Drunk Elephant)

As the Senior Manager, US Communications, you will develop and manage tactics that support the brand’s longstanding influencer strategy to increase brand awareness.
Responsibilities
- Earned Influencer Strategy:
- Foster strategic relationships with influencers and agents, sharing Drunk Elephant’s philosophy.
- Research emerging platforms to scale influencer outreach.
- Develop strategy around additional influencer categories (e.g., makeup artists, dermatologists, estheticians, celebrities).
- Partner with trade marketing and retailers to engage retailer-specific influencers.
- Paid Influencer Strategy:
- Act as a subject matter expert on paid content, including platform changes, high-performing creators, and emerging platforms.
- Partner with the Executive Director to develop briefs for paid initiatives and collaborate with Global/US Marketing, Paid Media, and Social Media teams.
- Negotiate contracts for paid opportunities.
- Develop a holistic paid/earned strategy.
- Media Relations & Strategy:
- Develop US press strategies for breakthrough brand storytelling.
- Maintain proactive relationships with top-tier beauty editors, journalists, and industry contacts.
- Manage media lists and press outreach to secure high-impact earned coverage across print, digital, and broadcast media.
- Events:
- Develop influencer activations in tandem with Global Communications to increase brand awareness during key launch moments.
- Create activation strategies during non-launch moments to maintain momentum in the influencer space.
- Reporting:
- Help establish KPIs and analyze Tribe Dynamics reporting for areas of opportunity.
- React proactively to trends and prepare strategies to maintain conversation during non-launch moments.
- Apply trends in and out of beauty to strategy.
- Communicate notable trends, up-and-coming creators, and emerging platforms to executives.
- Prepare reporting on paid tactics.
- Forecasting and Budget:
- Develop annual product forecasts.
- Track budgets.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist in creating engaging multi-media presentations for global brand meetings, conferences, and executives.
- Increase departmental efficiencies by implementing new processes (e.g., tracking systems, forecasts).
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in Influencer Engagement, Communications/PR, and/or Social Media.
- Experience with influencer management platforms (e.g., Tribe Dynamics) and office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
- Strong relationships within the industry, including beauty editors, influencers, influencer agencies, and makeup artists.
- Passion for beauty and fluency in social media platforms and trends.

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer participation in our bonus program and a full range of competitive benefits.
