Senior Manager, Trade Lane Development - WCSA/USA

About the role

The Senior Manager, Trade Lane Development – WCSA/USA/WCSA is responsible for orchestrating between commercial & operation to provide cohesive input in delivering growth as stand-alone support structure. This role is responsible for achieving increased market share, delivering growth in key markets & expanding service delivery in WCSA/USA/WCSA to maximize regional growth.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop & execute a comprehensive Trade Lane strategy for bi-lateral growth
• Develop and implement sales strategies to expand revenue and market share
• Drive individual sales efforts to meet/exceed targets
• Develop and manage relationships with small/mid-sized shippers and importers
• Building close co-operation between commercial, product & procurement for both ocean & air
• Providing strategic support to commercial & operations teams related to optimal routing, ocean & air on new developments for consideration
• Maintain monitoring & reporting on market trends, conditions & developments across the freight forwarding industry
• Managing internal stakeholders’ relationships between commercial, product, procurement & operations

Qualifications, Experience And Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field with a Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on trade lane management and senior leadership role
• Proven track record of success in trade lane management, with exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience managing complex logistics operations across multiple regions, with strong knowledge of carrier pricing and capacity management
• Familiarity with customs regulations, import/export procedures, and other relevant industry standards
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead a team of professionals
• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software applications, and familiarity with emerging digital technologies and trends in the logistics industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
