About the role
The Senior Manager Trade Compliance and Classification will lead the development and implementation of trade compliance strategies across North America. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to all relevant trade laws and regulations, including customs, anti-corruption, and export control laws.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive trade compliance programs that align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze global trade trends and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as government agencies, industry associations, and legal counsel to ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on trade compliance matters.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of trade compliance activities to senior management and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in a multinational corporation setting.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex trade compliance projects.
- Experience with international trade laws and regulations, including customs, anti-corruption, and export control laws.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of trade compliance frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with trade compliance software and tools.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in another major language preferred.

$150,000 - $180,000 annually
