You will lead your team in overseeing and elevating the end-to-end candidate lifecycle through the recruiting and selection process, provide consulting and guidance to our Talent Acquisition teams, and participate in projects that enhance the recruiting experience. As a Talent Acquisition Senior Manager, you will serve as a high-impact strategist and operational leader for key lines of businesses in Technology. You will translate long-term business vision into executable talent acquisition strategies and serve as a critical advisor to senior engineering and executive stakeholders.
In this role, you will command a dual-scope leadership function: leading a high-performing team of senior recruiters to drive consultative partnerships with hiring leaders, while also leading the sourcing function for Director-level and above (Director+) tech talent. You will leverage advanced reporting mechanisms, market intelligence, and predictive data to optimize delivery, operationalize strategy, and secure elite leadership and tech talent.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor, aligning talent acquisition initiatives directly with business-critical objectives and shifting conversations from transactional hiring to strategic capability-building.
- Establish rigorous execution frameworks and clear accountability to consistently deliver on complex, high-priority tech portfolios.
- Design, implement, and leverage advanced reporting mechanisms and talent analytics to diagnose pipeline health, project market trends, mitigate risks, and influence executive-level talent decisions.
- Architect and oversee the specialized sourcing function dedicated to identifying, engaging, and securing passive, top-tier Director+ technology talent.
- Drive innovative pipelining methodologies and ensure a premium, high-touch executive candidate experience.
- Lead, inspire, and elevate a dual team of senior recruiters and executive sourcers. Cultivate a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and inclusion, coaching the team to elevate their business acumen and act as true market experts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 5 years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or client consulting OR a combination of the three
- At least 4 years of experience in Client Management
- At least 2 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or MBA
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification
- 7+ years of experience in HR strategy or 7+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or a combination
- 7+ years of experience in Client Management
- 5+ years of experience in People Management
- 2+ years of experience with data analytics and reporting tools (i.e., Excel, Tableau)
- 3+ years of experience in strategic development
Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
- McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr. Manager, Recruiting
- Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr. Manager, Recruiting
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
