Senior Manager, Tech Program Lead

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, energetic, creative, and strategic Program Manager to shape and evolve two Tech-wide programs. In this role, you will serve as the strategic lead and program owner for our Tech-wide recognition and enablement programs, leading a high-output team to drive program impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Programming Strategy & Insights
    • Operational Planning: Partner with the program AE, key stakeholders, and program teams to drive the overarching program strategy and operational planning.
    • Architect Business, Tech, and Associate Insights: Establish program KPIs and North Star metrics to deeply understand and articulate program impact on Tech associates, the organization, and the business.
    • Shape Future Programming: Use destination-back thinking to inform each program’s charter. Track competitor landscapes, evaluate industry trends, and pioneer future programming frameworks to ensure Capital One remains a leader in Tech enablement and recognition.
  • Optimize End-to-End Experience
    • Oversee Program Management: Oversee the development of scalable processes, tracking tools, and governance frameworks for both programs.
    • Optimize Processes: Continuously refine programs and processes to maximize impact.
    • Strengthen Partner Frameworks: Guide partnerships with Comms, Design, Tech Divisional Support, Immerse Platform Engineers, and others to drive program impact and foster stakeholder camaraderie.
  • People Leadership
    • Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of associates responsible for supporting engagements.
    • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
    • Enablement: Drive critical decisions, remain action-oriented, and consistently deliver results through others.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 8 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 2 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • 9+ years of Project Management experience
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours worked. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).

  • McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr Manager, Project Management
  • Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr Manager, Project Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
