About the role

The Senior Manager, Sam's Talent Management leads the execution of strategic talent initiatives by managing key initiatives, overseeing project timelines, and consulting with key stakeholders to align talent strategies with Sam's Club business priorities and outcomes. This role is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of future-focused talent strategies which will fuel Sam’s Club’s business transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sam's leadership and partners to execute talent strategies across a portfolio of standard run the business processes and transformation focused projects/initiatives.
  • Utilize data and AI to generate insights that inform Sam's talent strategy and measures impact/outcomes.
  • Analyze succession pipelines, assessments and talent movements to anticipate talent needs and flag risks.
  • Educate partners on talent practices, making sure they follow the enterprise and guidance from the enterprise and be able to adjust when needed per market/segment needs.
  • Absorb and assist with the rollout of talent initiatives end to end, in partnership with the owners in our team across markets and segments.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience managing talent development portfolios and driving execution of multiple business plans and projects.
  • Analytical and data analysis to forecast needs, measure progress, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Innovative ideas, problem solving skills, and a love for driving change.
  • Strong skills in project management, including prioritizing, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Change management experience Expertise in talent strategy, workforce planning, and change management to build organizational capability.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and communicate effectively across teams and executives.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing associates to foster high-performing teams.
  • Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and promoting a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Political Science, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field and 3 years’ experience in workforce development, learning development, human resources, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in workforce development, learning development, human resources, or related area.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience.

  • Leading or partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Profit and Loss Masters: Business, Masters: Human Resources.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include : Stock.
