Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering - State, Local, Educational (SLED) Top 1200

About the role

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering - State, Local, Educational (SLED) Top 1200 to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will guide a customer-facing technical team focused on supporting public sector accounts and advancing complex solution engagements. The Senior Manager will help drive technical wins, strengthen demo quality, and ensure the team is positioned to support both customer success and sales execution. In this leadership role, you will partner closely with account leaders, product, and engineering teams to translate customer needs into scalable practices and actionable feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead hiring, onboarding, and coaching of the Solutions Engineering team
• Set standards for technical quality in demos and customer documentation
• Manage capacity and resource allocation across the segment
• Drive technical wins by pairing Solutions Engineers with Key Account Leaders
• Serve as the senior technical escalation point for critical customer issues
• Systematize successful practices from major accounts for repeatable use in the Top 1200
• Represent customer needs to Product and Engineering teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant technical experience in customer-facing roles
• 1+ years of experience leading a technical team or serving as a technical lead
• Strong understanding of drone technology and Public Safety sUAS operations
• Working knowledge of Public Safety technologies like CAD and VMS
• Proven track record in hiring, onboarding, and developing technical talent
• Comfortable operating within a Sales organization and managing deal strategies
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences

Pay

$172,000 – $215,000 annually
