Senior Manager - Solution Design

About the role

Responsible for designing and planning the inner layout of the warehouse, ensuring optimized functioning of the warehouse and achieving maximum efficiency and space utilization. Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems. Adopts lean concepts to streamline processes to achieve process flow efficiency. Plans for efficient operation, allowing access to products as well as segmenting different product types from each other.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan warehouse layouts for maximum efficiency and space utilization
• Develop product flow and handling systems
• Apply lean concepts to streamline warehouse processes
• Lead and manage teams, including hire/fire decisions, coaching, mentoring, and performance appraisals
• Set direction and develop business and operational areas
• Develop and implement policies and practices
• Implement business plans with a planning horizon varying from short to long term
• Address resource and operational challenges by adapting departmental plans and priorities

Requirements

• Proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD)
• In-depth knowledge and experience in warehouse design and operations
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Ability to handle most situations independently with minimal guidance
• Understanding of the overall business and interdependencies between functions
