About the role

EY is seeking a motivated professional with solid experience in the Banking and Finance sector to serve as a Senior Manager in Enterprise Architecture. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in solution design, end-to-end enterprise capabilities, and software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering business use cases in Banking, Finance, or Insurance. This role is dedicated to the Banking and Finance sector, where you will craft, deploy, and maintain large-scale enterprise architectures.

You will help clients improve business outcomes while working in the rapidly growing Banking & Finance sector. This high-visibility role offers opportunities to lead transformative technology projects, solve complex analytical problems, and enhance your skillset. You will manage timelines, costs, and quality, lead technical and non-technical teams, and build client relationships in the sector.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage and deliver one or more processes, solutions, and projects with a focus on quality and risk management.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research, analysis, and best practices.
  • Lead and mentor professional employees or team members to deliver complex technical initiatives.
  • Design, architect, and present findings and solutions, guiding junior team members and working with clients to deliver technology consulting services.
  • Act as a trusted advisor with a broad understanding of digital transformation, analytic technology, and industry trends.
  • Engage with senior business leaders to understand and shape their goals, objectives, and analytic requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Application Development, Business Analysts, IT teams) to define requirements, design solutions, and implement strategies aligned with client objectives.
  • Organize and lead workshops and design sessions with stakeholders to capture requirements, brainstorm solutions, and align enterprise architecture strategies.
  • Lead the design and implementation of modern architecture supporting transactional, operational, and analytical solutions.
  • Direct and mentor global architecture and engineering teams, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements to enhance capabilities.
  • Help win new business for EY by serving as a charismatic communicator and thought leader, capable of engaging with C-level executives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (required).
  • 12+ years of professional consulting experience in industry or technology consulting.
  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in architecting, designing, delivering, or optimizing enterprise solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience with native cloud products and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • 8+ years of experience mentoring and leading teams of architects and software engineers.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, software design, and application delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large engineering teams to design and build platforms with complex architectures.
  • Hands-on experience designing end-to-end architectures for efficient and reliable data collection, processing, and delivery.
  • Experience managing complex analysis, migration, and integration of enterprise solutions to modern platforms.
  • Previous hands-on coding skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Ability to design scalable data solutions with optimized performance.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps practices.
  • Practical understanding of data encryption, access control, and security best practices.
  • Experience leading Infrastructure and Security engineers in platform builds.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or commensurate professional experience.
  • Experience working at a Big 4 firm or a major finance/banking organization.
  • Enterprise Architecture and TOGAF certification.
  • Experience leading and influencing teams with a focus on mentorship and professional development.
  • Passion for innovation and applying emerging technologies to solve real-world challenges.
  • Ability to foster an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives.

Pay

The base salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $151,500 to $346,000. For New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $181,800 to $393,200. Individual salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Schedule

Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Most people in external, client-serving roles are expected to work in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
