Responsibilities
- Responsible for all snow cat grooming on June Mountain
- Oversees all operations of Slope Maintenance department including equipment and employees
- Coordinates maintenance of all machines
- Provides scheduling of all Snow Cat Operators
- Assists with the development and implementation of a rigorous training program
- Develops and implements the Snow Cat fleet management system, including reporting tools
- Manages construction projects, including coordination of outside contractors
- Manages fuel, wages, and repair costs within budgetary guidelines
- Performs any or all other responsibilities as assigned
Specific Duties by Area
Slope Maintenance
- Plan, organize, and direct all grooming operations
- Recruit, hire, and train all staff
- Manage two-three shifts nightly
- Bruch cutting and summer slope maintenance
- Hazard tree assessment, cutting, and removal
- Coordinate all equipment repair and maintenance with Mammoth mechanics
- Create and manage associated budgets
Snowmaking
- Plan, organize, and direct all snowmaking operations
- Manage three shifts
- Order and maintain all equipment
- Order and install air compressors
- Oversee new snowmaking system and act as PUD Liaison for operation
Terrain Park Building and Maintenance
- Design and build three parks: Bucky's Playground, Surprise Fun Zone, and Bunker Hill (when applicable)
- Design, build, and maintain all features
Snow Removal
- Parking lot snow removal
- Maintain proper snow storage
- Hire and train loader operator
- Coordinate equipment repair and maintenance for Loader, blower, and attachments
Erosion Control
- Ensure erosion prevention SOP compliance
- Collect water samples
- Order and install erosion pump system when necessary
- Clean out all collection ponds and drainage ditches
- Rebuild and maintain all on-mountain roads and culverts
Hazmat Management
- Follow current regulations for hazmat storage
- Work with county inspectors for site inspections
- Order and stock all vehicle fluids and chemicals
- Coordinate hazmat removal and reporting with vendors
Heavy Equipment Operation
- Operate Loader, Excavator, Masticator, Brush Mower, Water truck, Skid steer, and Rock truck
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-4 years of Snow Cat experience
- 2-3 years of management experience preferred
- Flexible work hours including day shift, swing shift, and grave shift
- Possession of a commercial driving license, including HAZMAT endorsements
Pay
$85,489.17 - $90,916.88 per year
