About the Role

The Senior Manager, Security Operations is an experienced security professional who leads teams to protect Fidelity’s associates, customers, and property. This individual delivers on Global Security Operations’ objectives through effective communication, understanding of site-specific risk landscapes, and execution of key initiatives. They serve as an associate-facing Brand Ambassador, ensuring their team demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of security representatives and supervisors across one or more locations.
  • Ensure schedules maintain required coverage while managing staffing costs and overtime.
  • Enforce corporate and site-wide policies, procedures, and standards related to operational risk, physical security, and life safety programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with business unit personnel, site leadership, and external service providers (e.g., public safety agencies) to influence security policy and mitigate risk.
  • Translate strategic objectives and champion training and life safety programs for assigned sites.
  • Engage in cross-organizational projects and scale global initiatives for assigned site(s).
  • Build, implement, and maintain regional crisis response plans in collaboration with site leadership.
  • Develop and deliver local awareness programs and support broader global security awareness initiatives to educate associates on workplace safety and security best practices.
  • Review regional incident reports; recommend and supervise required follow-up actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree a plus.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in an operational and technical security environment.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a people manager role.
  • EMT or other relevant certifications (CPP, CFE, CBCP) a plus.

Skills

  • Knowledge of security principles (incident management, life safety, investigations, workplace violence, and threat assessment).
  • Subject matter expertise with security technology.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Understanding of risk and controls.
  • Stakeholder and relationship management (effective communication with senior security leadership, site/business unit leadership, business partners, and public safety agencies).
  • Vendor management (holds vendors accountable to agreed-upon terms and manages budget constraints).

Schedule

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout. Some roles and locations currently require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $79,000–153,000 USD per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is part of the total compensation package, which may also include bonus or other variable compensation for eligible roles.
