About the role
The Private Events Sales Manager is responsible for securing and executing private and corporate event bookings at The Hand & The Eye. This person will serve as the key point of contact for inbound and outbound event leads, customizing proposals and managing logistics across departments. This is a relationship-first role requiring hospitality instinct, attention to detail, and an entrepreneurial drive to maximize revenue while preserving brand standards and experience quality.
Responsibilities
- Convert inbound event leads and proactively source private event opportunities
- Prepare proposals, secure deposits, and manage client contracts and expectations
- Cook up internal coordination with F&B, programming, guest relations, and tech for seamless event execution
- Maintain up-to-date pipeline, forecasting tools, and CRM entries
- Support VIP moments, tastings, walkthroughs, and partnership activations as needed
Requirements
- 4–6+ years of private event or catering sales experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and a high EQ; ability to close without pressure
- Familiarity with hospitality tech platforms (e.g., Tripleseat, SevenRooms, Toast)
- Proven experience managing budgets, timelines, and vendor coordination
- Comfort with both creative and corporate clientele; discretion and charm required
