RBC US Wealth Management is expanding its credit, lending, and cash management products and capabilities. In this role, you will provide risk advice and guidance to product managers and business owners, helping to navigate complex risk scenarios through collaboration and consensus-building.
Responsibilities
- Assist product managers and business owners in evaluating and synthesizing regulatory, legal, operational, and other risk considerations to find strategic solutions within RBC’s risk appetite.
- Help business partners develop policy requirements and design supporting processes and controls, including field procedures, supervisory procedures, and system controls.
- Provide guidance to business partners in navigating business line and Enterprise formal risk governance requirements.
- Lead and participate in risk- and business-driven projects.
- Collaborate with Business Risk Oversight colleagues (supervision, surveillance, operational risk, policy, and disclosure management teams) and functional groups such as Compliance, Law Group, and Enterprise Group Risk.
Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience in a strategic business risk/compliance or product management role focused on credit/lending/cash management products/solutions and risk management, preferably within a wealth management environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and leadership skills with the ability to de-escalate conflict and reach consensus.
- Effective organizational skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate where appropriate.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
Qualifications
- JD, MBA, or another advanced degree (nice-to-have).
- Securities/broker-dealer risk, compliance, legal, or product manager/business experience (nice-to-have).
- Series 7, 66, and 24 registrations (nice-to-have).

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is:
- $99,000–$176,000 (Chicago), depending on experience, skills, and registration status.
- $90,000–$160,000 (Minneapolis), depending on experience, skills, and registration status.
You may also be eligible for RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program, which provides an opportunity to increase your total compensation based on business performance and individual goals.

Location: Minneapolis, MN (250 Nicollet Mall). Full-time role, 40 hours per week.
