Senior Manager, Reporting & Insights – Service Operations
Role Summary
The Senior Manager, Reporting & Insights is responsible for delivering and continuously evolving critical reporting, analytics, and decision-support capabilities that enable Service Operations leaders to effectively manage business performance. This role serves as a trusted partner to senior leadership, translating business needs into actionable reporting, insights, and recommendations that support operational, financial, workforce, and customer experience outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Own the delivery, quality, and operational stability of critical reporting, dashboards, scorecards, data extracts, and recurring reporting processes supporting Service Operations.
Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions that provide actionable insights and support business decision-making.
Partner with senior leaders to identify business risks, opportunities, performance drivers, and emerging trends.
Communicate complex analytical concepts, findings, and recommendations in a concise, executive-ready manner.
Serve as a technical leader across reporting and analytics platforms, including Power BI, SQL, cloud-based data platforms, automation tools, and emerging analytics technologies.
Drive ongoing transformation of reporting and analytics capabilities by reducing manual processes, modernizing legacy solutions, implementing sustainable automation, and advancing the organization's analytics maturity.
Develop and execute roadmaps that transition reporting from reactive performance reporting to proactive, insight-driven decision support.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI-enabled capabilities, automation, modern data platforms, and self-service analytics solutions that improve business outcomes and operational efficiency.
Promote strong governance, data quality, and metric standardization across reporting and analytics solutions.
Cook up coordination work across business, technology, and analytics partners to ensure successful delivery of initiatives and reporting solutions.
Influence stakeholders across multiple functions and levels without direct authority to drive alignment and results.
Leadership & Collaboration Scope
Functions as a senior individual contributor and technical leader within the Reporting & Insights organization.
Does not have direct people management responsibility today but serves as a key influencer and subject matter expert across analytics, reporting, and operational performance domains.
Partners closely with Executive Directors, Directors, and operational leaders to align reporting priorities with business objectives.
Collaborates across Operations, Technology, Data, Product, Finance, and Enterprise Analytics teams to drive successful outcomes.
Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing data-driven recommendations that influence decisions and operational priorities.
Leads through expertise, credibility, collaboration, and influence rather than formal organizational authority.
Decision-Making & Impact
Makes decisions regarding reporting design, analytical approaches, automation opportunities, and solution development within assigned areas of responsibility.
Accountable for the accuracy, reliability, timeliness, and usability of reporting and analytics deliverables.
Balances competing business priorities and recommends trade-offs that maximize operational and strategic value.
Influences leadership decisions through insights, recommendations, and performance visibility.
Drives measurable improvements in reporting efficiency, automation, data quality, and business adoption of insights.
Identifies and escalates risks, dependencies, and operational challenges that may impact business performance or reporting reliability.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, business intelligence, operations, or related disciplines.
Experience supporting senior leadership through reporting, analytics, performance management, and decision-support activities.
Demonstrated experience delivering reporting and analytics solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Strong proficiency with Power BI, SQL, data modeling, dashboard development, reporting automation, and modern analytics tools.
Experience with Alteryx, Dataiku, GCP, Big Query, Python, Excel VBA, or similar tools.
Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
Strong understanding of data governance, reporting controls, and business performance measurement.
Demonstrated success leading reporting modernization, process transformation, or analytics capability advancement initiatives.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within healthcare operations, payer operations, provider operations, service operations, or other complex operational environments.
Experience leading reporting modernization, automation, digital transformation, or analytics transformation initiatives.
Experience implementing self-service analytics capabilities and reporting governance frameworks.
Exposure to AI-enabled analytics, advanced automation, predictive analytics, or emerging business intelligence technologies.
Experience supporting executive-level operating reviews and performance management processes.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Pay Range
The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $82,940.00 - $182,549.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
