Responsibilities
- Own and drive the research roadmap in close partnership with Product, Success and Sales
- Lead end-to-end user research efforts across multiple product areas; from generative discovery to evaluative testing
- Lead and execute end-to-end UX and usability testing initiative, translating insights into actionable design and product improvements that enhance user experience
- Incorporate best in class UX principles into research and product development processes, championing user-centered design standards and ensuring a consistent, high quality experience
- Synthesize and communicate insights in compelling ways that influence product decisions and roadmap prioritization
- Design, scope and execute studies using a mix of methodologies (e.g., 1:1 interviews, usability tests, surveys, diary studies)
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Marketing, Data, and Product Support to identify and prioritize key user pain points and user needs
- Advocate for the voice of the creator, shopper and brand throughout the product development process
- Contribute to the evolution of our product development process by establishing frameworks and best practices for research planning, documentation, and insights sharing
- Create and deliver research training and education to the team
Requirements
6+ years of experience in product or UX research, preferably at a fast-paced B2B or B2C startup
Expertise across both generative and evaluative research methods (both in-person and remote) with a portfolio or examples of research that influenced shipped products
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills- you make data and insights engaging, accessible, and memorable
Strong collaborator, able to build cross-functional relationships and advocate for users without losing sight of business context
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, prioritizing impact, and balancing rigor with speed
Experience working with creator tools, marketplaces, or e-commerce products is a plus
Pay
In compliance with New York Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is as shown. We note that salary information as a general guideline only, actual compensation may vary from posting based on the offer for this role, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, key skills, education, training and business considerations.
New York Pay Range
$160,000 - $180,000 USD
The provided salary range is base salary, exclusive of bonus potential or commission and is a good faith estimate of cash compensation. ShopMy is flexible pending candidate's experience and how our business needs evolve throughout the search. Every employee of ShopMy receives equity on top of cash compensation!
