About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and inspire Product Operations team members while fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and product management best practices.
- Coach Product Managers on success metrics and create product scorecards.
- Partner with Product leadership to establish, measure, and continuously improve product management quality standards and operational practices.
- Foster an environment that enables cross-functional feedback to stakeholders and product teams.
- Own governance, administration, and continuous improvement of Product Operations tooling, including Pendo and other platforms supporting product analytics, experimentation, user insights, and product management.
- Develop reporting and visibility frameworks that enable Product Managers and leaders to assess product health, product management effectiveness, and organizational health.
- Drive continuous improvement of Product Operations processes, governance frameworks, communication standards, and operational rhythms.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role must have a minimum of 7 years of specific experience, including a minimum of 3 years leading a team. Significant management knowledge is required to lead the department. Advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline, with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the University, are essential. Minimum 7+ years of demonstrated experience as a Software Product Manager, Product Owner, Group Product Manager, or similar Product leadership role. Experience with product analytics, experimentation, product operations, product governance, or product effectiveness measurement and metrics is preferred.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of a bachelor’s degree with training and/or experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of software Product Management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Experience with product analytics and metrics.
Skills
- Excellent leadership and product management skills.
- Strong analytical, qualitative, and quantitative skills.
- Technical knowledge and depth necessary to help manage product data and metrics strategies.
- Experience with business and product usage analytics.
- Able to glean insights from data and craft a compelling story in presentation form.

- The ability to think strategically and understand how data helps with problem solving.
- The ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
- Experience with ThoughtSpot, Tableau or other visualization tools.
- Experience or knowledge of basic programming and DB technologies (SQL, Python, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, Couchbase, Oracle, MySQL, Teradata).
