Senior Manager, Procurement
About the role
The Category Specialist is the regional execution arm for Mods & Upgrade procurement — turning category strategy into on-the-ground sourcing, purchase-order execution, and clean supplier data, so that Mods projects receive the right 3rd-party equipment and parts on time and at target cost. The role reports to the Associate Director, Mods & Upgrade Procurement and partners closely with the Category Manager, Parts Supply, PDM, and the factories.
Role Responsibilities
- Run sourcing events and RFQs in-region for assigned MAU categories — pumps, cooling towers, fans, valves, controls/BMS, electrical and balance-of-plant.
- Actively manage supplier lead times to hit project schedules and golden slots.
- Maintain supplier master and PFEP (Plan-For-Every-Part) data for assigned categories.
- Procure Carrier-designed (OEM-common) parts and 3rd-party parts to BOM and AVL.
- Support should-cost analysis with regional market inputs and surface savings opportunities.
- Resolve supply escalations on long-lead / engineer-to-order (ETO) parts in partnership with Parts Supply.
- Maintain data accuracy in SAP, KetteQ, and SFDC; support OTIF and demand-accuracy reporting.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or business.
- 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, buying, or materials planning.
- 5+ years' experience in hands-on purchase-order execution, RFQ management, and supplier coordination.
- 5+ years' experience in ERP proficiency (SAP); familiarity with planning tools (KetteQ/Kinaxis); strong Excel skills.
Preferred Requirements
- HVAC, engineered equipment, aftermarket, or capital-equipment exposure.
- Experience with PFEP, should-cost, and AVL/BOM data; regional sourcing across CLT/SYR/MX.
- Lean/Six Sigma exposure; Spanish language a plus for MX supplier coordination.
- Excellent organization, follow-through, and supplier communication skills.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
