Senior Manager, Private Equity Fund Accounting

About the Role

We are partnering with a leading fund administrator to find an experienced Senior Manager to lead the delivery of fund accounting and administration services for a portfolio of private equity clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee fund accounting and administration for private equity funds and related investment vehicles.
  • Act as a senior relationship contact for clients, managing service delivery and resolving complex accounting matters.
  • Review NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest, and investor allocations.
  • Review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Coordinate year-end audits, tax reporting, and other client deliverables.
  • Lead new fund launches, client onboarding, and fund conversions.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of fund accounting professionals.
  • Monitor workflows, deadlines, and service levels across multiple client relationships.
  • Partner with internal teams, auditors, tax advisers, and other third-party providers.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, improve processes, and enhance client service.

Requirements

  • Extensive private equity fund accounting experience within a third-party fund administrator.
  • Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, waterfalls, carried interest, and investor allocations.
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and multiple deliverables.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Previous experience leading and developing fund accounting teams.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • CPA or another relevant professional qualification is preferred.
