Responsibilities

  • Partner with PDM leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support portfolio planning, business operations, and strategic decision-making across the organization.
  • Develop analyses, insights, and recommendations that enable effective prioritization, resource allocation, risk management, and execution of business objectives.
  • Drive cross-functional planning and governance activities by facilitating stakeholder alignment, supporting decision-making forums, and ensuring effective follow-through on key actions and commitments.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio reporting, metrics, dashboards, and other decision-support tools to provide visibility into portfolio performance, organizational capacity, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support budgeting and long-range planning activities through data analysis, scenario modeling, and business insight generation.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives and operational excellence efforts aimed at improving business processes, organizational effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Apply structured problem-solving and analytical approaches to address complex cross-functional challenges and support informed decision-making.
  • Build strong partnerships across PDM and adjacent functions to promote transparency, alignment, and effective execution of key priorities.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and compelling communications, presentations, and recommendations for audiences ranging from working teams to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in a scientific, engineering, business, or related discipline, with 5+ years of experience within a CMC, Project and Portfolio Management, and/or life sciences management consulting organization.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in scenario planning, forecasting, resource modeling, and business analytics; demonstrated ability to translate analytical insights into executive-level communications.
  • Strong scientific and business acumen with the ability to connect data, portfolio priorities, resource constraints, and organizational objectives into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and learning agility, with a willingness to quickly develop expertise in new business processes, functional areas, and technical domains.
  • Ability to influence without authority and build productive working relationships across functions and organizational levels.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and compelling recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution and deliver results across complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success operating in fast-paced, dynamic environments with evolving priorities and ambiguity.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership, identifying opportunities for improvement, and proactively driving solutions with minimal direction.
  • Strong project management and facilitation skills with the ability to drive alignment, manage competing priorities, and execute effectively in ambiguous environments.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a scientific, engineering, business, or related discipline.
  • PMP or similar project management certification.
