About the Opportunity
The Senior Manager, People Experience serves as the primary HR Business Partner for the global R&D organization. This role is responsible for leading employee relations across the US, advising on organizational design and workforce planning, and partnering with talent acquisition to support hiring and retention strategies. The position is pivotal in fostering effective leadership and team dynamics while ensuring compliance and supporting HR program execution.
Responsibilities
- Serve as dedicated HR Business Partner for global R&D, building relationships with engineering and product leaders
- Advise on organizational design, role clarity, and leadership effectiveness
- Support headcount planning and workforce strategy for R&D
- Lead employee relations for US-based employees, including performance improvement plans, investigations, conflict resolution, and separations
- Ensure consistent documentation and compliance with multi-state employment laws
- Handle sensitive conversations with sound judgment
- Execute company-wide HR programs such as performance reviews, engagement surveys, compensation planning, and manager effectiveness
- Aid with calibrations, promotions, and compensation decisions
- Partner with talent acquisition on offer strategy, equity review, and hiring manager enablement
- Lead HRIS implementation readiness, including job architecture and data quality
- Manage job architecture and leveling frameworks
- Drive HR projects and contribute to leadership and manager training initiatives
Requirements
- 7+ years progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner role
- Experience supporting technical, engineering, or R&D organizations
- Extensive employee relations experience including investigations and separations
- Knowledge of multi-state US employment law
- Experience collaborating with talent acquisition on offers and hiring processes
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification
- PREFERRED: experience in PE-backed or high-growth tech companies; familiarity with HRIS/ATS platforms (e.g., Lattice, Greenhouse, ADP); background in leadership development or manager training; experience supporting global workforces; advanced HR certifications (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, SPHRi)
- Ability to perform repetitive computer tasks and remain seated for extended periods
Pay Range and Compensation Package
Estimated base salary $150,000 - $155,000 plus bonus, subject to variation based on qualifications and market factors
