About the role

The Senior Manager, Plant Operations plays a critical leadership role at Pharmavite, focusing on delivering excellence in safety, quality, productivity, and financial outcomes across strategic operations departments. This role drives organizational performance through strategic planning, team engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive world-class health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing, inclusive team to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
  • Establish clear priorities and implement management systems to achieve sustainable results in key performance metrics.
  • Exercise good judgment in decision-making, control resource usage, and manage costs effectively.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring they meet or exceed labor and material standards.
  • Partner with planning and scheduling resources to optimize production sequences for reliable, predictable performance.
  • Implement industry best practices for manufacturing processes and foster a 'benchmark and reapply' mindset.
  • Own the development of a capacity plan for the packaging operation, including reliability improvements and capital investments.
  • Develop and execute a Career Path Progression (CPP) plan across the Opelika Site to establish a clear roadmap for employee career paths in operations.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to quickly assess and improve organizational performance.
  • Strong technical skills, including LEAN/Six Sigma and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and motivate stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in progressive manufacturing leadership roles in a top-tier company.
  • Hands-on experience with bringing new technologies and capital investments into existing manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvement methodologies.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to set and achieve vision and results.
  • Leadership and development of people.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college or university degree or its equivalent in Business, Engineering, or Science.
  • An MBA is preferred.

Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of SOPs and cGMPs in a related manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with bringing new technologies and capital investments into existing manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvement methodologies (e.g. LEAN, Six Sigma).
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to set and achieve vision and results.
  • Leadership and development of people.
  • Strong collaborative mindset and a desire to work towards common goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Moderate exposure to disagreeable elements.
  • Works in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • May require early and late hours to enable interaction with specific shifts or management of particular result areas.
  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, expected 1-2 times/year.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Direct supervisory responsibility for 4 employees and indirect supervisory responsibility for :350 employees.

Pay

Base pay range: $140,000.00 - $234,000.00. The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and the New York metro, the Target Base Pay Range is $156,000.00 - $260,000.00.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week.
