About the role
The Senior Manager of Market Intelligence leads the market intelligence function within the Market Intelligence & Communications team, serving as the team's Part Lead for market analysis and intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the Market Intelligence function, analyze market data, setting research priorities, methodology standards, and quality control for all market intelligence deliverables
- Own end-to-end market sizing, competitive analysis, and pricing benchmarking for U.S. utility-scale PV modules, BESS, and EPC services, including forward-looking demand and capacity forecasts
- Direct Federal policy and Tariff impact analysis (e.g., Section 232, AD/CVD, IRA/45X, ITC/PTC), assessing implications for pricing, supply chain strategy, and deal economics
- Build and maintain a proprietary market intelligence framework, including primary research, industry databases, and third-party research providers, to support executive decision-making
- Prepare and deliver executive-level strategic reports, board-ready market analyses, and competitive intelligence briefings to the Head of Market Intelligence & Communication, C-level stakeholders, and HQ
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on U.S. utility-scale renewable energy market structure, competitor positioning, and customer/developer landscape
- Partner with Sales, Commercial Strategy, Finance, Legal, and Engineering team to embed market intelligence into deal support, pricing strategy, and negotiation positioning
Requirements
- Demonstrated command of U.S. utility-scale renewable energy market dynamics and prior experience operating as a market research/intelligence professional within a large, multinational, matrixed organization
- Bachelor's (Masters) degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, International Trade, or a related field; MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in market research, market intelligence, or competitive strategy, with at least 3 years focused on renewable energy or the U.S. utility-scale solar/BESS market
- Prior experience as a market research/intelligence professional at a large multinational corporation, BIG 4 Consulting Firm or global market research firm is strongly preferred
- Must be bilingual in both English and Korean (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience conducting U.S. utility-scale renewable energy market analysis, including module, BESS, and EPC market segments
- Advanced quantitative analytics background, including experience designing research methodologies, market models, and forecasting frameworks
- Extensive experience with industry research databases, institutional research reports, or market intelligence platforms (BNEF, Wood Mackenzie, SEIA, or comparable)
- Track record of presenting market analysis and strategic recommendations directly to senior executives or C-level stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex market and policy dynamics into clear, actionable strategy
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, error-free, executive-ready deliverables
Qualifications
- Direct experience analyzing U.S. trade remedy proceedings (Section 232, AD/CVD petitions) and their commercial impact on the solar module or broader manufacturing supply chain
- Prior exposure to Korean corporate reporting structures or experience supporting a Korea-headquartered parent organization's strategic planning cycle
- Advanced proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for executive-level deliverables
- Experience building or managing a market intelligence function from the ground up, including vendor/database selection and internal reporting cadence
- Working knowledge of financial modeling or deal economics (LCOE, PPA pricing structures) sufficient to translate market intelligence into deal-support recommendations
