About the role

The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance is the primary owner for all assets and is responsible for ensuring operation and maintenance of one technical process within operations at the new Blue Ash manufacturing site. This site will focus on commercial production in Inspection, Device Assembly, and Secondary Packaging (IDAP). The role combines technical expertise with people management, leading a team of engineers and maintenance technicians to support IDAP.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a validated technical process with clear critical process parameters, material specifications, and operating procedures to deliver a capable process.
  • Own asset reliability, availability, and preventive maintenance (PM) content, effectiveness, and performance.
  • Manage the life cycle of manufacturing assets, including development of project justifications and engineering proposals.
  • Provide technical guidance, career development, and performance management to technical team managers and engineers.
  • Ensure proper technical support (mechanical and electronic) is available for all manufacturing and facility activities across all shifts.
  • Maintain and update documentation and systems.
  • Ensure adherence to EHS and GMP compliance and drive improvements.
  • Participate in risk analysis of spare parts inventory.
  • Drive and support Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) initiatives.
  • Maintain external technical relationships and collaborate with equipment and material suppliers.
  • Support technical troubleshooting and initiate deviations for machine failures, driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Identify technical training requirements for Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Controls teams.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, facility, and engineering teams across Resilience and client networks.
  • Author and review documents including Standard Operating Procedures, Batch Records, Material Specifications, and validation/change control documents.
  • Provide input and develop user requirements for new asset procurement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in maintenance, electronics, controls, and automation for engineering projects.
  • Act as a key contact for regulatory inspections as the process owner.

Requirements

  • Significant experience leading a technical team.
  • Proficiency in process/materials, maintenance, project delivery, controls, and automation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization, locally and globally.
  • Ability to challenge and adapt current approaches and ways of working.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Experience with predictive maintenance concepts.
  • Significant experience in a GMP or regulated production environment (preferred).
  • Expertise in two or more of the following: equipment, process/materials, maintenance, project delivery, automation, and controls (preferred).
  • Experience supporting day-to-day commercial operations (preferred).
  • Experience leading projects (preferred).
  • Six Sigma or analytical troubleshooting skills (preferred).
  • Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment (preferred).

Pay

Target base pay hiring range for this position is $125,000.00 - $173,750.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and knowledge.
