Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and develop the continuous improvement and manufacturing engineering team
- Own process capability, throughput, and production stability
- Partner closely with operations leadership to remove constraints and improve flow
- Establish and enforce standard work for critical manufacturing processes
- Lead structured problem-solving efforts on production and quality issues
- Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor supporting machining and assembly
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes
- Deep knowledge of tooling, workholding, speeds & feeds
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams in a production environment
- Hands-on approach to problem solving and process improvement
- Strong communication skills across leadership and shop floor teams
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or similar role
- 3+ years leading or mentoring engineers or technical teams
- Strong background in Lean manufacturing with demonstrated results
- Hands-on experience working directly with machining and production teams
- Experience in high-precision machining environments preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with required PPE including eye protection, hearing protection, and safety shoes
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift materials as needed throughout the workday
Work Environment
- Manufacturing floor environment with a mix of programming, troubleshooting, and hands-on machine interaction
