Senior Manager, Indirect Tax Technology
About the role
Forvis Mazars is looking for an experienced tax professional to serve in a market-focused, growth-minded role within the State and Local Tax practice. Indirect Tax technical and technology/transformation competency and experience, and the desire to continue to develop within Forvis Mazars is a must. This includes actively leading a team of professionals and tax engine implementation and indirect tax automation engagements. Further, we encourage seeking out and participating in networking activities.
Responsibilities
- Indirect Tax Engine Implementation and Tax Transformation Solutioning
- Lead and manage the design, implementation, and configuration of indirect tax software solutions, with a focus on tax engines such as AvaTax, ONESOURCE, and Vertex.
- Lend tax technology expertise in discussions with clients and prospects - including, but not limited to client tax and/or finance teams, enterprise executives, information technology to illustrate what's possible based upon client needs and availability of technologies within their organization and outside of their enterprise tools. Communicate confidently with client management and teams.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in indirect tax and technology transformation
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience with tax software solutions like AvaTax, ONESOURCE, and Vertex
- Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements

Pay
The salary range for this role is $123,400 to $281,900 annually, based on experience, education, and skill set.
Schedule
The schedule for this role is full-time.
