What you’ll do on a typical day

  • Create, manage, and implement project execution plans and production readiness testing.
  • Provide project management and guidance to project team members to ensure timeline and budget compliance.
  • Creatively problem solve to remove roadblocks and meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with business process owners to identify and scope areas of opportunity.
  • Provide leadership for project execution to internal departments and external clients; offer direction and guidance to the project team and communicate project requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hold others accountable to project commitments.
  • Influence without authority to achieve project goals.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the full scope of work including contracts, requirements, dependencies, schedules, budget, logistics, labor, materials, equipment and other pertinent project needs.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive project playbook with identifiable critical paths, task dependencies, and major milestones.
  • Proactively identify project risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Establish solid collaboration and working relationships with senior leadership to support company goals.
  • Ensure all new sites are set up for success to operate in the ‘GXO Way’.
  • Develop change management strategies to support project goals.
  • Provide feedback and appropriately escalate risks and/or project roadblocks.
  • Support other project managers and project team members as needed.
  • Create and provide project status reporting for internal and external audiences.

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
  • 4 years of experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously of varying scope and size in a supply chain, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Solid understanding of operational and financial drivers within supply chain environments.
  • Solid understanding of change management processes and methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

It’d be great if you also have:

  • An advanced degree in Project Management, Supply Chain or related field.
  • PMP certification.
  • Lever Six Sigma certification.
