Responsibilities
- Acts as a change agent, modeling Avient Leadership Behaviors and helping evolve our culture to support business strategy.
- Coaches leaders and holds them accountable for the same.
- Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in Corporate Finance and Global Business Services, providing strategic guidance on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent strategies, and leadership development.
- Leads organizational design initiatives including structure assessments, role clarity, capability needs and change management execution to support evolving business priorities.
- PARTNERS Closely with the Finance and GBS leadership team, providing thought leadership on talent, engagement, performance, and culture initiatives that drive functional excellence.
- Collaborates seamlessly with regional HR partners to ensure consistency, alignment, and execution of global and regional HR strategies.
- Uses data and analytics to inform decisions, identify trends, and develop actionable solutions that improve organizational performance and employee experience.
- SUPPORTS talent planning and succession processes, ensuring strong pipelines for critical roles and facilitating robust development discussions.
- ADVISES leaders on sensitive employee relations matters, applying sound judgment, consistent practices, and a balanced approach to achieving optimal outcomes.
- DRIVES HR initiatives that promote innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement across Finance and GBS operations, including change management, capability building, and process enhancement.
- BUILDS leader capability, providing coaching, feedback, and tools that strengthen leadership effectiveness and elevate team performance.
- PARTNERS with COEs (Talent Management, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, HRIS) to deliver integrated HR solutions and ensure programs meet the unique needs of the Corporate Finance and Global Business Services functions.
- MANAGES special projects to support the evolving needs of Corporate Finance, GBS, and Avient’s global HR function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, organizational development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally as an HR business partner supporting corporate functions, shared services or a similarly complex, matrixed global environment.
- Experience working within or supporting a global shared services or Global Business Services model strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and build trust with senior leaders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and levels.
- Ability to operate independently with sound judgment, strong time management skills, and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to diagnose complex business issues and develop data-driven, practical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort navigating ambiguity.
- Experience with HR technologies and the Microsoft Suite; strong Excel and analytical skills required.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
