About the role

The Senior Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic business partner to assigned client groups, consulting with leaders and employees on a broad range of Human Resources matters. This role may also lead a team of HR professionals, including HR Managers, HR Representatives, and Receptionists.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a business partner to assigned clients, providing consulting on HR-related issues including employee relations, performance management, recruiting/workforce planning, career development, and salary planning.
  • Work closely with recruiting specialists/managers to provide recruiting support, including sourcing, participation in job fairs, diversity outreach programs, interviewing, and Applicant Tracking System recordkeeping.
  • Implement, lead, and facilitate HR initiatives and projects.
  • Facilitate training on employee development, coaching, and other management topics.
  • Assist the Benefits Manager with disability and FMLA communications, and provide guidance on benefit issues (eligibility, status changes, COBRA, leaves of absence, and open enrollment).
  • Manage the annual performance management process by consulting with managers and employees regarding the process and tool.
  • Mediate employee concerns and complaints, lead/conduct investigations, and manage/facilitate corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements, including filing EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reports annually and maintaining related records.
  • Stay updated on current federal and state employment laws through research, seminars, and meetings.
  • Partner with the Immigration Paralegal to file work visas for employee sponsorships.
  • Handle unemployment claims and represent the company at unemployment hearings.
  • Work closely with Payroll to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field (required).
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (strongly preferred).
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (a plus).
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience administering employee benefits and other HR programs.
  • SPHR license (preferred).

Pay

The base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $160,000 per year. Amneal also offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, within the first 12 months.
