About the Role

TerraPower is seeking to hire a Senior Manager, Fuel and Material Supplied Equipment Group, Procurement. This individual will support the Natrium team in managing the Fuel and Material Supplied Equipment (FMSE) Group to ensure safe and timely delivery of equipment associated with the Natrium fuel supply.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with the Natrium Fuel Supply & Development department to ensure safe and timely delivery of equipment including Reactor Core Components and raw materials, assembly of non-fuel assemblies, and prototypic components for fuel development.
  • Interface with the Natrium Fuel Supply & Development department to ensure safe and timely delivery of fuel supply logistics.
  • Support HALEU facility contract including oversight.
  • Ensure supplier performance management and oversight.
  • Monitor fuel equipment supply chain to ensure cost, schedule, quality, and safety metrics are met.
  • Interface with Corporate teams including Finance, Legal, Procurement, Quality, and Facilities to ensure compliance with procedures and processes for delivery of equipment.
  • Ensure the FSME ESMs adhere to classic project management tools to oversee suppliers including cost, schedule, submittal oversight, and resources.
  • Review statements of work (SOW) and project planning to ensure proper execution of supplier projects to meet program objectives.
  • Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes and relationships to ensure positive feedback to Natrium.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Technical degree preferably in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering required.
  • 10-20 years' experience in supplier interaction.
  • 3-5 years of management experience in related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in management of suppliers in design and manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated skills in supporting the contractual and commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships.
  • Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities.
  • Required experience with project controls and organization along with tools and processes to support the same.
  • A broad understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering disciplines and how they interrelate is important.
  • Strong communication skills desired.
  • Will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly, and a desire to foster teamwork.
