Grindr is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting to lead our public-company reporting function.
About The Job
Lead and own the SEC reporting and technical accounting function for a fast-paced public company, ensuring filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and related disclosures) are accurate, timely, and audit-ready. Serve as an integral member of the monthly close process, owning key areas including share-based compensation, payroll, and other headcount-related accounts — ensuring journal entries, reconciliations, and related analyses are completed with precision and delivered on schedule.
Act as the subject matter expert on GAAP, SEC rules, and complex accounting issues (e.g., revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, leases, business combinations, derivatives, equity instruments). Partner with Finance, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and external auditors to bring structure, consistency, and clarity to technical accounting interpretations and financial statement presentation.
Drive improvements in financial reporting processes, controls, and systems to support scalability, reduce risk, and strengthen internal controls across the reporting cycle. Mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and excellence in delivery.
