About the role

The Sr. Manager, Field Events & Marketing will build and lead our net-new field event strategy. Reporting to the Director of Events, this role will design and execute a field events program that generates top-of-funnel pipeline while strengthening customer and late-stage-pipeline events. The ideal candidate combines deep field event expertise with strategic marketing instincts, leadership presence, and the ability to align sales stakeholders around a shared vision. This role requires sharp business judgment, polished executive presence, and the drive to build something new in a fast-moving organization. Ability to travel up to 25% annually. Remote candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own our field marketing strategy, defining event formats, target segments, and success metrics for a top-of-funnel program that attracts prospects not yet in our pipeline.
  • Design the outreach strategy and event experience to get new prospects to attend, from invite messaging and channel mix to the on-site experience.
  • Apply account-based marketing (ABM) principles to identify, prioritize, and engage target accounts, ensuring outreach reaches the right prospects.
  • Build and run testing and optimization frameworks for outreach and event formats to improve show rates and pipeline conversion over time.
  • Partner with and influence sales leadership across regions, aligning on target accounts and securing buy-in for the events strategy.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of field events, from strategy and budget through onsite execution and post-event pipeline reporting.
  • Design a repeatable playbook, including event formats, invite strategies, sales enablement kits, and follow-up cadences for regional teams.
  • Manage and mentor event planners and coordinators, providing strategic direction while they own logistics.
  • Measure and report on event performance against pipeline and revenue goals, using data to refine strategy and prove ROI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Demand Generation, Customer Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Creative, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing Operations.
  • Engage in physical tasks typical of event roles, such as moving supplies and setting up activations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing or a related field.
  • 12+ years of total experience in marketing and events, with 5+ years of deep expertise in sales-driven field events.
  • Proven track record of building a field marketing program from the ground up, ideally at a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Experience designing outreach and event experiences that draw net-new prospects to attend.
  • Strong fluency in account-based marketing (ABM) to target the right net-new prospects.
  • Experience managing significant program budgets (e.g., $1M+ annually) with a track record of demonstrating clear ROI.
  • Strong leadership and influence skills, with experience earning trust and driving alignment with sales leaders.
  • Direct experience managing and mentoring a team of event planners or coordinators.
  • Strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution, comfortable setting a multi-quarter vision and working onsite at events.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS sales cycles and buyer personas relevant to our audience.
  • Strong analytical rigor, with experience owning pipeline and ROI metrics using tools such as Salesforce and Tableau.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across marketing and sales teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% annually, with some work on weekends or after hours as needed.
