About the role

The Senior Manager, Fashion Expertise plays a pivotal role in shaping the learning culture of the House across the region, ensuring that the CHANEL allure is transmitted to every Fashion Advisor — and continuously reinforced throughout their tenure. Through the valorization of creation, savoir-faire, and quality, and through the cultivation of client style, the Senior Manager ensures that every retail team member in their region can embody a singular client bond. The Senior Manager, Fashion Expertise provides regional leadership across multiple markets, partnering closely with Managers, Fashion Expertise to drive consistency, excellence, and impact in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Guide new talent and accompanying onboarding: Deliver inspiring New Hire Training, supporting newcomers in the region with a deep understanding of the heritage, DNA, codes, and singularity of the House.
  • Support new boutique openings across the region, serving as the lead Fashion training resource to build team readiness to transmit the CHANEL singularity to each client ahead of opening.
  • Partner with Managers, Fashion Expertise to reinforce onboarding through ongoing coaching, learning experiences, and in-boutique development.
  • Lead the onboarding of incoming Managers, Fashion Expertise, equipping them with the tools, frameworks, and regional context they need to make an immediate and lasting impact in their markets.
  • Evaluate onboarding content in partnership with Fashion Expertise Home Office, ensuring materials remain aligned with the evolving creative vision of the House and learner needs.
  • Cultivate product expertise across the region: Facilitate inspiring, concrete, and impactful offsite training sessions on collections, savoir-faire, product knowledge, and service behaviors.
  • Facilitate engaging offsite Product Expert Training sessions that valorize creation, savoir-faire, and quality.
  • Ensure that every Fashion Advisor and Style Advisor in the region attends at least one Product Expert Training per year, partnering with Managers to plan, schedule, and track participation across all markets.
  • Track Product Expert training completion and across the region, partnering with Managers to address retention opportunities through targeted in-boutique follow-up.
  • Share regional product training insights, observations, and qualitative feedback with the Fashion Expertise Home Office to inform future content development and training strategy.
  • Elevate service excellence across the region: Facilitate immersive, offsite Service Expert Training that brings the CHANEL Client Relational Promise to life.
  • Ensure that every team member in the region attends at least one Service Expert Training per year, coordinating scheduling and attendance in close partnership with Managers and Boutique Leadership.
  • Equip Managers with the language, frameworks, and coaching tools to reinforce service behaviors between formal training sessions, sustaining momentum and consistency across their markets.
  • Capture and surface regional service training insights to the Fashion Expertise Home Office, contributing to the continuous evolution of CHANEL's service training curriculum.
  • Lead regional client style development strategy: Establish and monitor KPIs related to Advisor styling development, client styling appointments, and client development activities, leveraging insights to identify opportunities and deepen relationships.
  • Partner with Home Office to execute the styling strategy for clients within the region attending global Image events, partnering with Fashion Expertise Home Office and boutique teams to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Host US client-facing events within the region and host client styling events and appointments, cultivating direct client relationships.
  • Collaborate with Managers, Fashion Expertise to achieve regional goals related to the animation and hosting of client styling appointments within boutiques, providing strategic guidance and support across markets.
  • Maintain an individual annual client engagement goal, actively contributing to client development opportunities across the region.
  • Shadow Managers, Fashion Expertise across the region on a regular cadence, observing in-boutique training sessions, coaching interactions, and business partnership moments to evaluate their impact, efficacy, and growth as training leaders.
  • Provide structured, thoughtful, and actionable feedback to Managers following observations, fostering a culture of continuous development and elevating the quality of training delivery across all markets.
  • Track, analyze, and synthesize the KPIs associated with all training activity in the region — including Manager-led in-boutique sessions, digital learning completion, new hire onboarding milestones, Expert Training participation, and Voice of Client.
  • Share regional training insights, field observations, and performance analysis with the Fashion Expertise Home Office on a regular basis, serving as the eyes and ears of the field and a trusted strategic thought partner.
  • Contribute to the evolution of national training strategy by surfacing what is working, what needs refinement, and where new opportunities exist across the region.
  • Collaborate with the Fashion Expertise Home Office to align regional priorities with the broader national vision, ensuring that every training initiative is purposeful, consistent, and impactful.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in luxury fashion, retail training, or hospitality.
  • A proven ability to manage, motivate, and coach others.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience translating insights into action.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage a multi-market region.
  • A genuine passion for the House of CHANEL, its heritage, creations, codes, and commitment to social and cultural initiatives.
  • Ability to travel frequently across markets and boutiques within the region.
  • Foreign language skills are a plus but not required.
