About the role
The Senior Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to client executives while leading enterprise transformation initiatives focused on business process optimization, ERP implementations, systems integration, data architecture, and organizational change.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Advisory
- Serve as a primary client-facing leader across multiple engagements.
- Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders including CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CIOs, Controllers, and business process owners.
- Facilitate executive workshops, assessments, strategy sessions, and transformation initiatives.
- Translate business objectives into actionable operational and technology roadmaps.
- Advises clients on operating model design, process improvement, governance, controls, and organizational readiness.
Business Process Transformation
- Lead current-state and future-state business process assessments.
- Identify operational inefficiencies, process bottlenecks, automation opportunities, and organizational risks.
- Design scalable business processes that support growth, efficiency, and improved decision-making.
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across functional areas including: Finance and Accounting, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Inventory and Supply Chain, Human Capital Management, Project and Resource Management, CRM and Customer Operations.
ERP & Technology Transformation
- Lead ERP selection, implementation, optimization, and post-go-live improvement initiatives.
- Guide clients through requirements gathering, solution evaluation, vendor selection, and implementation planning.
- Partner with business and technical resources to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
- Manage system integration, data migration, testing, change management, training, and deployment activities.
- Evaluate enterprise systems and recommend improvements across ERP, CRM, BI, workflow automation, AI, and operational platforms.
Data & Analytics Leadership
- Develop deep understanding of client data environments and information architecture.
- Audit data quality, governance, reporting structures, integrations, and master data management practices.
- Identify gaps in the flow of information across systems and business processes.
- Design recommendations that improve visibility, reporting accuracy, operational metrics, and executive decision support.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions are supported by sound data architecture principles.
Engagement Delivery
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Lead project planning, budgeting, resource management, scope management, risk mitigation, and executive reporting.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Mentor consultants, senior consultants, and managers across engagements.
- Support the development of methodologies, templates, accelerators, and best practices.
Business Development & Growth
- Support business development efforts throughout the consulting sales lifecycle.
- Participate in discovery sessions, client workshops, solution design discussions, and executive presentations.
- Develop project estimates, Statements of Work (SOWs), proposals, and supporting sales materials.
- Contribute thought leadership and industry expertise to strengthen Altum's market positioning.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through additional services and solutions.
Cross-Sell & Account Growth
- Maintain a consultative mindset focused on delivering long-term client value.
- Recognize opportunities for additional consulting, technology, advisory, analytics, AI, cybersecurity, ERP, or operational improvement services.
- Communicate identified opportunities to the Engagement Lead and/or CEO for evaluation and pursuit.
- Support account planning activities and contribute to year-over-year revenue growth within assigned accounts.
- Actively strengthen client relationships while maintaining a reputation as a trusted advisor.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 6-8+ years of consulting, advisory, or transformation leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years leading enterprise transformation or ERP-related initiatives.
- Prior experience with a Big 4 consulting firm, leading strategy consultancy, or comparable advisory organization.
- Demonstrated success managing executive-level client relationships.
- Experience developing Statements of Work (SOWs), proposals, estimates, and sales presentations.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent client engagements.
- Strong understanding of business operations and enterprise process architecture.
- ERP Experience: Hands-on experience with one or more major enterprise platforms.
- Data & Technology Experience: Strong understanding of enterprise data structures and information flows; knowledge of data governance, reporting architecture, integrations, and analytics platforms; ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders; familiarity with modern cloud platforms, automation technologies, AI, and business intelligence solutions.

Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
- MBA, Master's degree, CPA, PMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, or related certifications preferred.
