About the role

Johnson & Johnson MedTech – Supply Chain is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Engineering – Americas Deliver Excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Pan-Regional Leadership & Organizational Alignment
  • Direct and manage the Americas engineering organizational footprint.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, motivation, and professional development of engineering staff.
  • Establish early-stage project governance, standardize regional controls infrastructure, enforce rigorous GxP/FDA/ISO compliance, and lead cross-border engineering teams.
  • Drive the long-term adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Operational Infrastructure, Asset Management & Risk Mitigation
  • Design, implement, and champion advanced testing frameworks.
  • Remediate localized infrastructure vulnerabilities.
  • Establish strict engineering documentation standards.
  • Partner with 3PL or internal maintenance teams to develop robust processes and metrics.
  • Technical Authority, Quality & Cybersecurity Compliance
  • Serve as the senior technical authority and Point of Contact (PoC).
  • Support Quality and Operations in maintaining the qualified, validated, and compliant state of all GxP, GMP, FDA, and ISO-regulated equipment and systems.
  • Partner directly with OT Cybersecurity governance structures.
  • Resource Management & Capacity Scaling
  • Develop comprehensive regional business plans, project timelines, and master budget control metrics.
  • Plan future capacity and process improvements.
  • Monitor regional engineering workloads and strategically manage a pipeline of external contractors and vendors.
  • Optimize internal engineering focus.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent University degree required; focused degree in Engineering or related area of study preferred. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum eight (8) years of relevant professional work experience. Engineering experience, with a proven track record of managing multi-site distribution automation, robotics, or complex control systems. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coach professional engineering teams. Well-developed presentation and cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders across international borders.
  • Preferred: Project management experience and familiarity with FPX, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies. Expert-level knowledge of GMP principles, qualification/validation approaches, safety regulations, and working within regulated (GxP/FDA/ISO) environments.
