About the role
This position executes the business plan, strategies, analytics, and data needs for the division while collaborating with divisional leadership to drive Medicare Advantage bid strategy and optimize bid outcomes in support of long-term growth and segment objectives. Reporting to the Executive Director of Medicare Advantage Product, the role leads the development and execution of bid strategy, service area and product expansion roadmaps, and overall bid process governance. It ensures alignment with divisional strategy through documentation and analysis of competitive and market information, integration with overall strategy, and management of divisional short- and long-term planning.
As a key leader within the Medicare Advantage Product team, this role oversees a multifaceted function spanning analytics and reporting, project management, operational readiness, technology enhancements, and people leadership. The position partners across the organization to evolve the bid process and ensure critical business outcomes and milestones are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of Medicare Advantage bid strategy, service area, and product expansion roadmaps.
- Govern the overall bid process and ensure alignment with divisional strategy.
- Document and analyze competitive and market information to integrate with overall strategy.
- Manage divisional short- and long-term planning.
- Oversee analytics and reporting, project management, operational readiness, technology enhancements, and people leadership.
- Partner across the organization to evolve the bid process and achieve critical business outcomes and milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in health care, health insurance, or strategic consulting environment.
- 2 years of management experience.
- Experience with strategic planning, strategy development, analytics, and research.
- Experience with Retail Markets.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor staff.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience interacting successfully with senior management and staff across multiple departments.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Creativity, innovation, analysis, and implementation skills.
- Business acumen and project/process integration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or MHA.
- Health care industry experience.
- Knowledge of the Affordable Care Act.
- 3+ years of experience in Medicare Advantage Bid with a deep understanding of MA economics and technical bid requirements.
- Proven analytical abilities in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Experience with Teradata, SQL, and Excel.
- Experience in Actuarial Science (preferred but not required).

This is a fully remote position, available in the US only.
Pay
$102,000.00 - $184,300.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
