About the role

The Senior Manager, Digital Content serves as the homedepot.com business partner to merchants, marketers, and IT for data and process management on the website. This role develops long and short term strategy to optimize the efficiency of digital content data management, leads the Data Management team in planning and execution of data management operations, and coordinates with internal and external customers and vendors to meet deadlines, budget, and strategic objectives. The position manages, executes, and impacts product display and cross selling on homedepot.com to support a multi-channel business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with functional and operating business partners to drive overall business specific strategies, with key strategic themes focused on delivering consistent, repeatable processes to optimize product time to market and operating effectiveness.
  • Develops short and long term strategic route map for homedepot.com's product data management processes and systems.
  • Responsible for external resource management; manages outside vendors to ensure execution of programs and tactics on time and within budget; manages projects and allotment of money to meet budgetary and segment goals.
  • Effectively executes all data management and promotion activities using metrics to track and improve performance.
  • Develops and implements process and system improvements related to data management and operational activities.
  • Builds strong relationships with business partners and actively supports cross-functional initiatives to drive improved overall business performance; coordinates and leads internal functions in the execution of data maintenance on homedepot.com.
  • Troubleshoots and problem solves for ongoing operational needs as they arise.

Direct Reports

This position reports to the Director, Digital Content and has 2-5 direct reports.

Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data and vendor management experience.
  • Process and project management experience.
  • Understanding of basic corporate financial practices and budget management.
  • Experience in Marketing and Ecommerce.

Skills & Competencies

  • Experience as a team leader; ability to complete projects through a variety of different people in various departments who do not directly report to the team leader.
  • Well-developed presentation skills (oral and written).
  • Computer skills required, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain composure and productivity in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be deadline oriented with long and short-term projects.
  • Ability to approach problems systematically, researching all alternatives and making appropriate recommendations.
