About the role

The Data Programs & Insights team at Salesforce is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Operations & Governance to lead the APM governance function. This role is high-impact, cross-functional, and involves driving complex enterprise processes, steering cross-functional projects, and providing guidance across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end APM data governance, including the Product and Industry dimensions, M&A-related data, and downstream impacts to dashboards and reporting tools
  • Manage the full lifecycle of a multi-tier APM hierarchy from creation and validation to error resolution, evolving and automating legacy processes and leveraging AI to drive efficiency without sacrificing accuracy
  • Partner with DET on custom SQL query updates and with the Finance Data Office (FiDO) to signal readiness for table updates and republishes as new logic is added
  • Lead UAT and define structural design requirements needed to migrate all hierarchies and allocations into a new, business-user-friendly UI framework
  • Drive change management to protect data integrity across quarterly and fiscal year transitions, keeping key partners (CSG, Finance, Sales, DET) informed of any changes
  • System-based Data management & Forecast Alignment (Org62 CRM): Define and maintain Product Allocation fields in Org62 CRM to support accurate ACV splits across products & accurate specialized seller forecasting & reporting
  • Lead data execution for Product as a part of the annual Go-For-Growth (G4G) process in partnership with the Specialization Sales and Territory Ops — including user testing, approvals, and driving the multi-month effort to map new fiscal year APM changes across product and industry verticals
  • New Product Introduction & Complex Bundle Allocation: Ensure all new SKUs are properly positioned across multi-tiered product structures and correctly mapped at the time of each monthly product launch

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Operations, Finance, or a related field; 8+ years of experience in Business Operations, Sales Operations, or data governance
  • Strong SQL and Snowflake skills required; comfortable working with complex data workflows, transformation logic, and large databases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate across Product, Data Engineering, and Finance in a fast-paced enterprise environment
  • Growth Mindset & Autonomy: Self-motivated and collaborative, with strong influencing skills, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to approach problems with an open mind in a constantly evolving environment

Qualifications

  • 3+ years leading teams with a track record of successfully managing and scaling processes
  • Background in StratOps, Business Operations, or a Business Analyst role with exposure to complex data and systems
  • Familiarity with software revenue recognition principles and how CRM configurations connect to corporate finance requirements
  • Experience leading or partnering on a transition from manual tracking tools (e.g., Quip, Google Sheets) to automated, cloud-based data platforms

Skills

Pay

The typical base salary range for this position is $150,100 - $227,000 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $180,200 - $247,900 annually.
