About the Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Data Center Operations will lead the creation of a US-based team dedicated to operational excellence within hyperscale colocation facilities. This role is crucial in managing the rapid deployment and ongoing maintenance of network equipment to meet service level agreements, directly impacting the reliability and performance of the organization's network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team overseeing Field Technician contractors in hyperscale data center pods across the United States
- Build and maintain relationships with third-party system integrators and data center providers
- Oversee deployment and maintenance activities conducted by external partners
- Conduct inventory control and coordinate returns for defective parts
- Coordinate with Compliance teams on data center access management
- Maintain 24x7 staffing and escalation procedures to ensure SLA adherence
- Evaluate and adjust training programs specific to hyperscale pod needs
- Coordinate Field Technician staffing at hyperscale locations
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience with data center vendors and environments
- Proven track record in employee development and engagement
- Strong drive for process improvement
- Experience leading teams through process changes and realignments
Pay
For US-based candidates, the base salary range is $132,100 to $237,900 per year. Compensation varies for candidates outside the US. The package may include annual bonuses, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
