About the role

This role oversees the deployment of physical plant cabling systems and guides the coordination of infrastructure implementation efforts for Oracle data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Data Center Design & Implementation - Cabling Infrastructure: Oversees implementation of structured cabling solutions for new data center builds and expansions. Supervises the deployment of physical plant cabling systems. Ensures team understands global data center cabling and infrastructure standards and maintains adherence. Contributes to troubleshooting moderately complex cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords as needed.
  • Data Center Design & Implementation - Implementation & Continuous Improvement: Guides the coordination of infrastructure implementation efforts for Oracle data centers. Drives development of sustainable and repeatable solutions to support the continuous improvement of data centers.
  • Project Management - Project Planning: Provides guidance on aligning team to the scope of project work, reviewing the Bill of Materials and resources available, reviews the project roadmap to align with the scope and business needs. Ensures team prioritizes customer experience in project planning and delivery.
  • Project Management - Reporting & Documentation: Models collaboration with Program Management teams to ensure project deliverables are completed on time. Attends vendor business reviews to report on team's project updates and documents vendor progress and roadblocks. Drives the creation and maintenance of documentation on cabling and build standards for data center infrastructure.
  • Vendor Management: Provides guidance in collaborations with vendors to deliver build out of data center infrastructure. May participate in the vendor bidding and selection process as needed. Mentors team to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing multiple medium- to large-scale projects or initiatives across teams.
  • Strong project management skills, including ability to align with business needs and adjust plans to accommodate resource or timeline changes.
  • Excellent collaboration and partnership skills, driving cross-functional partnerships and fostering strategic relationships with business leaders, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, providing direction to teams on addressing complex operational and/or technical issues and analyzing complex data/information to identify solutions.
  • Continuous learning mindset, modeling engagement in continuous learning to deepen expertise and integrate best practices into strategic planning. Identifies skill gaps and empowers team members to pursue learning and knowledge sharing opportunities.
  • Ability to drive team to collaborate on, develop, and implement ideas to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, protocols, and workflows within and across teams, providing oversight.
