About the Role

The Sr. Manager, Customer Communication & Privacy Program Liaison is a leadership position responsible for:

  • Ensuring enterprise-wide customer communication touchpoints are aligned, consistent with customer communication preferences, and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Maximizing the use of quality customer data to achieve business objectives across the enterprise.
  • Supporting the Privacy Office in its modernization and scale-up initiatives, and execution of privacy strategies and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer communication alignment across the enterprise to enhance customer experience, acquisition, retention, and profitability.
  • Promote and manage customer communication alignment tools, including Customer Communication Touchpoint Maps, Customer Touchpoint Management Guide, and Customer Communication Suppression Guide.
  • Implement and maintain processes for regularly updating communication touchpoint and suppression management resources.
  • Maintain knowledge of enterprise communication programs and collaborate with business units and the Privacy Office to redesign the customer preference center.
  • Leverage DCM Enterprise Biweekly workshops to address customer communication and operational challenges.
  • Serve as business owner and subject matter expert for the customer mastered database (CVA), driving enhancements in data quality, processing rules, modernization, and operational stability.
  • Oversee the PriSMA process by identifying data needs, guiding data usage, supporting Privacy Office assessments, coordinating data fulfillment, and inventorying new customer touchpoints.
  • Advocate for data-driven decision making, provide guidance on customer data usage, improve business understanding of available data assets, and oversee permissible use of third-party data.
  • Partner with the Privacy Office to develop privacy strategies, compliance programs, and governance processes, including CPRM, TCPA, GLBA, affiliate data sharing, and digital tracking technologies.
  • Manage cookie consent platform operations and collaborate on privacy modernization initiatives and replacement of privacy management systems.
  • Provide strategic and tactical consulting on customer data, communication touchpoints, privacy, and compliance programs.
  • Drive innovation through GenAI adoption and support strategic initiatives including digital sales processes, Global One App, and co-branded credit card programs.
  • Contribute to budget planning, tracking, reconciliation, vendor contract management, and invoicing activities.
  • Supervise team members, provide coaching and cross-training, collaborate with key stakeholders, complete ad hoc assignments, and exercise manager-level employment decision-making authority.

Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Eight or more years of relevant professional experience.
  • Five or more years of database marketing and customer journey experience.
  • Five or more years of customer data and communication regulatory compliance experience.
  • Automotive or automotive-adjacent experience a plus.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Pay

Compensation Range: $139,400.00 - $188,600.00 annual base salary.

Schedule

Normal office duties. Some travel required, including overnight travel as necessary.
