About the Role

The Corporate Development and Strategic Partnerships team is a high-impact, entrepreneurial function advancing Remitly's Vision of Transforming lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders through acquisitions, strategic investments, and partnerships. As part of this team, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to identify, evaluate, and execute acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships that accelerate our business. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role at the intersection of corporate strategy, financial analysis, and deal execution. This role can be based out of our Seattle, Arlington, or New York City offices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop strategies, evaluate business opportunities, and provide recommendations based on detailed analysis.
  • Build detailed, flexible long-term financial models in connection with key opportunities and initiatives, including acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships.
  • Drive corporate transactions across Remitly, collaborating with business leaders, finance, accounting, and legal.
  • Support all phases of the deal process, including sourcing, financial analysis, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, closing, and integration.
  • Develop analysis, synthesize and analyze data, and apply strategic frameworks to help drive business decisions.
  • Contribute to corporate strategy by creating competitive landscape analyses and reviewing fintech trends.

Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or strategic finance.
  • Strong three-statement financial modeling skills.
  • Deep financial analysis skills, including the ability to apply financial concepts and frameworks to novel business situations.
  • Broad financial acumen, including a foundation in corporate finance principles, facility with financial statement analysis, and understanding of valuation methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex opportunities into clear recommendations for executive and Board-level audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead several priorities simultaneously.
  • Ownership mentality, questioning assumptions and taking responsibility for conclusions.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools in day-to-day M&A and analytical work to drive efficiency and sharpen decision making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the global fintech, payments, or financial services landscape — including familiarity with remittance economics, digital wallets, payment infrastructure, and emerging market financial services.

Pay

The starting base salary range for this position is typically $168,000 - $210,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.

Schedule

For corporate team members, we have an in-office expectation of at least 50% of the time monthly, typically achieved by coming in three days a week. Managers also have the flexibility to set higher expectations based on their team's specific needs.
