Senior Manager, Core Infrastructure Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing software engineering team.
  • Drive critical execution across cross-functional initiatives with clear ownership, accountability, and delivery discipline.
  • Communicate program status, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to senior and executive leadership.
  • Build strong partnerships across engineering, product, infrastructure, operations, and global delivery teams.
  • Translate complex technical and operational challenges into clear business impact, execution plans, and leadership decisions.
  • Own delivery planning, roadmap execution, and prioritization across multiple programs in a fast-paced Agile and DevOps environment.
  • Identify and remove organizational blockers that slow execution or create delivery risk.
  • Partner with architects and senior engineers to ensure platform designs are scalable, reliable, secure, and operationally sound.
  • Improve engineering processes, delivery predictability, operational rigor, and overall team effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, urgency, ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop team members through coaching, feedback, career planning, and clear performance expectations.
  • Represent the team in senior leadership forums, business reviews, roadmap discussions, and executive-level communications.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading software engineering teams.
  • Strong cross-organizational leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and operational issues clearly.
  • Proven track record of driving successful execution of high-priority initiatives.
  • Experience in scaling teams, programs, and execution models in a fast-moving cloud infrastructure environment.
  • Effective partnership-building skills across engineering, product, infrastructure, operations, and global delivery teams.
  • Experience translating technical and operational challenges into clear business impact and leadership decisions.
  • Strong ability to identify and remove organizational blockers.
  • Experience in ensuring platform designs are scalable, reliable, secure, and operationally sound.
  • Proven ability to improve engineering processes, delivery predictability, operational rigor, and team effectiveness.
  • Ability to foster a culture of collaboration, urgency, ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience developing team members through coaching, feedback, career planning, and clear performance expectations.
  • Experience representing teams in senior leadership forums, business reviews, roadmap discussions, and executive-level communications.
