Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management to define and deliver new capabilities that address evolving customer needs and shape the future of OCI's file storage solutions.
- Collaborate with senior architects and engineering leaders to design, implement, and deliver scalable, high-performance storage solutions.
- Design, develop, and optimize new features for OCI's high-performance, distributed file storage platform.
- Operate and continuously improve a mission-critical Tier 1 cloud service, maintaining strict availability, performance, and reliability SLAs for our most strategic customers.
- Work closely with compute, networking, and other infrastructure teams to identify and implement opportunities to improve scalability, performance, efficiency, and operational excellence across OCI.
- Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing, helping them grow their skills and take on increasing ownership and responsibility.
- Drive engineering excellence by contributing to architecture discussions, code reviews, testing strategies, and operational best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience in designing and developing distributed storage systems for high-performance, scalable environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and technologies, particularly as they relate to file storage and object storage.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment and to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically to address complex technical challenges.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers and product management.
- Experience with cloud-native development tools and methodologies, including containerization, orchestration, and microservices.
- Knowledge of storage protocols and architectures, such as NFS, CIFS, and HDFS.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
