Responsibilities
- Business Partnership
- Serve as the primary congress liaison for assigned Business Units/therapeutic areas
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and vendor partners
- Attend key strategy meetings to ensure congress activities align with overall BU/brand strategy
- Partner with business teams to develop the annual congress plan, including: Congress selection, Budget planning and forecasting
- Provide recommendations on congress participation based on business needs, brand lifecycle, attendee engagement, and market dynamics
- Help identify the optimal mix of congress activities to meet objectives while improving efficiency and reducing spend
- Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of congress exhibits, sponsorships, and related engagement activities
- Cook up cross-functional teams (brand, medical, advocacy, compliance, legal, regulatory, finance, procurement, and vendors) to ensure successful delivery
- Define strategy, content, and ancillary tactics, including: Product theaters, Symposia, Speaker programs, HCP dinner engagements
- Schedule and lead kick-off, status, and wrap-up meetings with stakeholders
- Create resource guides to support internal participation during pre-planning and onsite execution
- Ensure consistent brand messaging, customer experience, and flawless delivery across all congress activities
- Budget & Vendor Management
- Own and manage congress budgets, forecasts, and booth strategies to ensure alignment with business priorities and financial targets
- Act as the primary Corcept contact for congress associations and vendor partners
- Drive timelines, deliverables, and exhibit readiness across the annual congress calendar
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiencies, and process improvements while communicating budget considerations to stakeholders
- Travel onsite, as required, to support congress execution
- Provide training and guidance to booth staff, including compliance requirements
- Lead onsite booth walk-throughs with compliance, legal, and regulatory partners
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all congress activities comply with global policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain audit readiness and support compliance-related requests
- Manage required documentation, including approvals, booth designs, and required system uploads
- Operations & Process Improvement
- Support congress planning using enterprise systems and tools (e.g., Cvent, SAP, MS Office)
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and ways of working
- Promote consistency across brands and reduce duplication of effort
- Lead through influence in a cross-functional environment
- Experience supporting brand or medical strategy execution
- Congress or event planning experience
- Budget management and business planning experience
- Working knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Experience with tools such as MS Office 365, SAP, Cvent, and project management platforms
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in:
- Pharmaceutical industry
- Event management
- Strategic project management
