We’ve built a platform that serves them across the full journey, including the move, setting up and protecting their home, and everything in between. We enable millions of moves a year across our brands, including MovingPlace and HireAHelper, and are building toward the one-stop-shop for the moving journey, powered by technology that makes every step smarter and easier.

About the role

As Senior Manager, Business Operations, you will be a key leader responsible for the success and scaling of our Business Operations function. Reporting to the Head of Business Operations and Partnerships, you will sit at the intersection of high-level strategy and rigorous execution, equally comfortable developing recommendations for leadership and rolling up your sleeves to make them happen. You will own outcomes, not just drive process.

You will define strategic direction and shape how we prioritize across the division, developing insights and frameworks that drive our annual planning and inform key tradeoffs. You will own end-to-end delivery of our most critical initiatives, from defining strategy through execution and performance monitoring. As the division evolves, you’ll play a key role in scaling operations across a broader consumer services portfolio, helping shape how a growing organization structures itself for the next phase of growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives from definition through execution, including launching and scaling new products and services.
  • Develop strategies grounded in a deep understanding of business goals, constraints, and market dynamics, supported by rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers, providers, and partners to build a strong point of view on what matters in each initiative and use that to inform strategy and prioritization.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Operations, Finance, and Legal, to align on priorities, remove blockers, and move with urgency.
  • Establish and run the operating rhythm of the division, including annual planning cycles, quarterly business reviews, and ongoing goal tracking.
  • Drive group-wide prioritization and tradeoff decisions, ensuring resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities.
  • Drive adoption of shared dashboards and reports, maintain visibility into initiative KPIs, and proactively surface insights with clear recommendations.
  • Support leadership team preparation for company and board-level reviews, ensuring the division presents with clarity and confidence.
  • Serve as a member of the Porch Consumer Services leadership team.

Requirements

  • 6-12 years of experience in strategy or business operations, preferably at a high-growth startup or technology company.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution with measurable results, including launching new products or service offerings.
  • Strong bias to action; comfortable operating with ambiguity, moving with urgency, and staying focused on outcomes over process.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to align stakeholders across diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience building and running internal operating cadences, including business reviews, planning cycles, and performance reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Comfort using AI tools as a genuine accelerator and core part of your work across research, analysis, automation, and communication.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including three medical plan options, two dental plan options, and a vision plan.
  • Voluntary Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, and Accident plans.
  • Pre-tax savings options including a partially employer-funded Health Savings Account and Flexible Savings Accounts for healthcare, dependent care, and transportation.
  • Company-paid Basic Life, AD&D, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability benefits.
  • Voluntary Life and AD&D plans.
  • Traditional and Roth 401(k) plans with a discretionary employer match.
  • Employer-paid wellbeing program (SupportLinc) providing on-demand guided meditation, mental health coaching, clinical care, and confidential resources including will preparation.
  • Free LifeBalance resource for year-round discounts on gym memberships, travel, appliances, movies, pet insurance, and more.
  • Flexible paid vacation, company-paid holidays (typically nine per year), paid sick time, and paid parental leave.
  • Identity theft program, travel assistance, and fitness and other discounts programs.

Pay

Pay Range: $138,800 – $194,300 annually. Actual pay will reflect factors such as work experience, skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and Porch employees, and geographic location. Eligibility for long-term incentive awards and an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
