About the role

TerraPower is seeking a senior business and product development professional knowledgeable in nuclear, energy, and related industries. This role resides in Business Development and Strategy and will collaborate with colleagues across departments to develop and implement market entry plans, particularly focusing on the utility sector. The ideal candidate will have a blend of U.S. and international experience, along with relevant product development expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Support the scoping, direction, and growth of business development activities in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Manage processes for identifying, tracking, and selecting opportunities aligned with the Market Development Plan.
  • Translate market intelligence into actionable input for product, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support Natrium product development by coordinating with Engineering and other teams.
  • Catalogue and monitor partnering opportunities, including Federal and private sector prospects.
  • Manage RFP processes, competitive analyses, teaming analyses, customer messaging, win themes, differentiation, win probabilities, capture reviews, and decision gates.
  • Oversee pre-proposal and proposal efforts in the U.S. and third markets.
  • Build TerraPower’s customer and supplier network in coordination with strategic objectives.
  • Manage and promote the Natrium Users Advisory Committee (NUAC), facilitating collaboration between TerraPower and NUAC members.
  • Develop and retain market development teams.
  • Protect TerraPower assets by adhering to information security, export control, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act practices.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience managing nuclear, energy, or related business development and capture efforts.
  • 3+ years of experience building, developing, and retaining market development teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Solid commercial acumen.
  • Ability to demonstrate superior judgment, analytical ability, and composure under pressure.
  • High degree of trust, integrity, and a desire to foster teamwork.

TerraPower's technology is controlled for export by U.S. Government agencies. Applicants who are foreign nationals (excluding asylees, refugees, or lawful permanent residents) will be evaluated in accordance with U.S. export control requirements.

Pay

Salary Range: $148,722.11 - $193,145.60 (specific to Washington State). The offered salary will be based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual's qualifications and experience.
