The Business Development Manager at Rosendin is responsible for account management, client relationship development, and contract execution. Key duties include:

  1. Managing and developing the business development team
  2. Identifying and prioritizing potential customers, expansion markets, new technologies, and projects
  3. Preparing and executing business development action plans for specific target markets and projects
  4. Serving as the main liaison to prospective and current customers
  5. Assisting with and coordinating pre-construction activities throughout the sales process
  6. Providing budgeting assistance to customers as needed
  7. Maintaining and improving the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)
  8. Attending professional societies and participating in travel to clients
  • Manage and develop the business development team, including the Business Development Manager(s), Business Development Specialists, Business Development Coordinators, and Business Development Associates.
  • Perform and manage research to identify and prioritize potential customers, expansion markets, new technologies and projects.
  • Prepare and execute business development action plans for specific target markets and projects as identified in the Marketing Plan.
  • Serve as main liaison to prospective and current customers to ensure all needs are consistently met.
  • Train and assist Business Development Associates to make effective presentations and proposals.
  • Coordinate and participate in travel to clients on a regular basis.
  • Attend professional societies and become involved.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 12 years' experience in construction estimating, supervision, and/or project management

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written, with ability to produce highly professional proposals and presentations
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
