Senior Manager, Business Development
Job Description
An organization is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Development to accelerate growth within the National Defense and Intelligence Communities, with a focus on the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).
- Develop and qualify a pipeline of opportunities valued from $150M to over $1B.
- Develop customer engagement strategies and build long-term relationships within military intelligence organizations.
- Influence opportunity shaping and acquisition strategies prior to solicitation release.
- Partner with Capture Managers and proposal teams on win strategy development and to inform decisions through contract award.
- Support proposal efforts, Requests for Information (RFI), market surveys, and Expressions of Interest (EOI).
- Develop teaming strategies and identify strategic partners for pursuits.
- Drive growth strategy across intelligence community customers by developing and maturing strategies for future market changes.
- Prepare and present capability statements and new business information presentations to customers and corporate executives.
Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Intelligence Community, with at least five years in a Business Development role. This must include proven experience developing and qualifying opportunities from $150M to over $1B and a demonstrated capability to execute a growth strategy.
- Existing customer relationships and credibility within the NRO or NGA.
- Strong understanding of Intelligence Community acquisition processes.
- Experience shaping opportunities and influencing RFP development.
- Ability to work in a matrixed, fast-paced team environment.
- Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience supporting NGA and/or NRO customers.
- Background in Enterprise IT, Information Systems, Intelligence Analysis, or related mission areas.
- Experience developing account growth strategies and supporting strategic captures.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in business or a subject matter relevant to the customer’s mission is required.

About the Role
This position operates in a typical office environment. The role requires constant use of a computer terminal, mental alertness, and the ability to work under deadlines. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be necessary.
